AI Pay Checklist Methodology

How AI Pay Score™ Works

AI Pay Score is our proprietary editorial score for judging whether an AI tool is useful, practical, and monetizable — not just trendy.

Short version

Each tool is scored from 0–10 across seven factors. Those factor scores are weighted, converted to a 100-point score, and reviewed as editorial analysis by Megg Digital.

Formula: sum(category score × category weight × 10) = AI Pay Score out of 100.

The scoring factors

Ease of Use

20%

How quickly a normal creator, marketer, or small business owner can start using the tool without a technical mess.

Income Potential

20%

How directly the tool can support revenue-generating work: content, offers, lead generation, automation, sales assets, or client delivery.

Value for Money

15%

Whether the pricing makes sense relative to what the tool can actually replace, speed up, or produce.

Automation Potential

15%

How well the tool fits repeatable workflows, integrations, systems, and time-saving processes.

Beginner Friendliness

15%

How practical the tool is for someone who is still learning AI workflows and does not want a cockpit full of mystery buttons.

Affiliate Opportunity

10%

Whether the tool has a credible affiliate or referral opportunity that can fit ethical content monetization.

Reliability & Longevity

5%

How established, dependable, and durable the tool appears based on product maturity, company signals, and public availability.

Example

If a tool averages to an 8.6 weighted score after applying the factor weights, its AI Pay Score becomes 86/100.

Important note

AI Pay Score is editorial analysis, not a crowdsourced user rating. Pricing, affiliate program details, and product facts are checked against available sources and shown separately on each tool page.
